Whispers in the Hall

Whispers in the Hallway invites you into the layered past of the historic building now home to 1881 Salt Sanctuary. Long before it became a space for restoration and wellness, this land held an early schoolhouse, its classrooms filled with frontier children, strict schoolmasters, and the daily life of a growing community.
Folklorist and researcher Rissa Miller shares the findings of months spent uncovering the stories tied to the property: the documented history, the whispered legends, and the lingering presences that seem to echo through the halls. Working alongside psychic medium Jennifer LaRue, she explored the subtle energies of the space, tracing impressions of teachers, traders, and long-ago residents whose memories still seem to drift through the old walls.
Guests will hear accounts of unexplained sounds, shadowy movements, and quiet moments that hint at spirits who have not entirely stepped away. These stories blend with local history to reveal a space where past and present meet, sometimes gently, sometimes unexpectedly.
Whether you’re drawn to the mysteries of old buildings, fascinated by regional history, or simply eager to celebrate spooky season in a meaningful way, this evening offers a thoughtful, atmospheric look at the echoes hidden within the former schoolhouse.
