Tarot 101 – Symbols of the Tarot
Join local intuitive, death doula, and creative writer Christina Lengyel for an introductory exploration of tarot symbolism and structure. This foundational workshop focuses on the numbers, elements, and core principles of the tarot, with special attention to the Minor Arcana and its historical roots. Participants will learn practical techniques such as choosing a significator, understanding court cards, and working with simple yes-or-no questions. Ideal for beginners or those looking to deepen their symbolic understanding. Tarot deck included with registration.

Christina Lengyel, aka Xtina, believes each of us hold the answers we’re looking for within us. She encourages everyone to recognize the spark within themselves and the people they meet. Christina has been reading tarot for over twenty years. She blends natural intuition, deep listening, and a broad knowledge of symbols to bring insight to card readings. Her spiritual life and practice inform her work leading guided meditations and community events, while her experience as a writer and educator informs her classes and strengths-based approach to teaching.
Christina received Reiki training and attunement from Rickie Freedman in Harrisburg, PA in 2012. She received her MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore in 2013. In 2018, Christina completed 200-hour yoga teacher training at YogaCentric in Bel Air, MD. In 2025, she trained as a death doula under Death Doula Beth in Harrisburg, PA. She has taken a variety of intuitive classes with medium Maggie Salter and is currently attending seminary toward an MDiv degree so that she can expand her hospice and spiritual work into chaplaincy.
