Green Opal – Tapping into your heart

Green opal is a December stone that truly reflects the big-hearted nature of Sagittarius. Sweet Saggies have made a name for themselves with their hilarious sense of humor, their expansive interests, and their generous spirits. As winter Fire signs, they bring light and warmth to a dark season, tempering they flames with a mature reserve.
Green opal is an especially effective stone for soothing the heart chakra. The heart chakra is a connecting point between out physical bodies and our spiritual lives, sitting in the center of our being. We talk about following our hearts, and this stone is an excellent reminder that they are excellent guides. The key is to quiet our minds and listen. Here’s an exercise we recommend trying with green opal at your side.
Hold one palm over your heart and one over your solar plexus (the area of your stomach in the center of your torso). Take a few deep breaths while gently rubbing in a circular motion. As you do so, set the intention to release any stuck emotions that are blocking your connection to your heart.
You may feel emotional during this process. You may want to cry, experience a wave of anger, or even start laughing. Whatever comes up, allow yourself a moment of catharsis.
Once you feel you’ve released what you need to, allow yourself to sit and be still and silent. Ask your heart what you need to know, where it wants to guide you. Listen for the answer. It may not come right away. You may need to try this practice over several days, weeks, or even months. Sooner or later, you’ll start to hear your heart, and it will never lead you astray.
Rainbow Fluorite – Tapping into intuition

The gorgeous undulating shades of rainbow fluorite remind us of the wintry Northern sky. Just like crisp air, fluorite is a refreshing snap toward clarity. The purples, blues, and greens that come together in this stone evoke the upper chakras, connecting us to our natural state of intuition.
Choose fluorite when you need a boost to your psychic skills or you’re looking to pull yourself above a situation to see it with a clearer perspective. Fluorite is an excellent stone to wear as jewelry to maintain focus and redirect it when necessary.
Fluorite can also be used as excellent pendulums. You may have seen super cool ones like this which help us observe the movement of the Earth, but they can also be cool ways to observe your own mind!
If you’ve never tried working with a pendulum, you can give it a shot with any weighted object attached to a string or chain. Hold it steady and ask a yes-or-no question you know the answer to, like “My name is Santa Claus.” Do this a few times with yes questions and a few times with no questions. You should be able to observe a pattern. For instance, it may move clockwise for an affirmative and counter-clockwise for a negative. Or, it may move back and forth for “yes” and side to side for “no.”
Once you’ve determined which is which, you can use this to ask yourself questions you know you know the answer to deep inside. The pendulum will act as an extension of yourself and give you answers that perhaps your subconscious is more hesitant to reveal on its own. It’s not only a great psychological tool but a fun trick to show off at parties this December with your favorite stone.
Red-Capped Amethyst – Tapping into the Earth

Amethyst is one of the most popular stones or crystal collectors. They’re abundant and easy to locate, and they are known to be incredibly powerful.
Amethyst is also known for its connection to sobriety. Whether you’re literally staying alcohol-free or you just want to keep a cool head during the chaotic holiday season, red-capped amethyst may be the secret support you’re looking for in a stone this December. Red-capped amethyst has additional iron at its termination point, or “cap,” which gives it its reddish color.
Iron doesn’t just give this stone a gorgeous color—it’s actually a mineral that does wonders for grounding. Use this rock as an anchor when you’re starting to lose yourself. It can be a true help in social situations. Not a fan of bling? Keep it in your pocket and treat it like a worry stone.
